Swift’s performance that night was poignant for another reason.
Each night of the tour, she has been including a “surprise songs” section where she includes two mystery tracks from her vast back catalogue.
For her first surprise song of the night, Swift performed Question…? from her latest album Midnights, with the second surprise song being Invisible from her debut album.
Opening up about her song choices, she gave an emotional speech which led fans to speculate that it might have been about her rumoured new boyfriend Matty Healy.
Addressing the crowd, Swift said: “I’ve just never been this happy in my life in all aspects of my life.
“It’s not just the tour… I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense… so I thought I’d play this song which brings me a lot of happy memories.”
